Just to set things straight (hopefully): I did not ditch you.
If that's what it looked like, then I'm sorry. But that's not my intention at all. I thought I was trying to do the mature thing -- you know, the one you keep on insisting that I do once in a while. Apparently, I did the wrong thing... again.
This may sound as if I'm arrogant or obnoxious. Well I'm not trying to be. This is who I am. And again, I thought you knew that by now.
